Stihl MS300 C-M Chainsaw

The NEW STIHL MS 300 C-M is a professional petrol chainsaw developed for foresters, arborists and demanding users who need a powerful, lightweight and easy-to-handle saw for everyday forestry work. Replacing the popular MS 261 C-M, the MS 300 C-M has been completely redeveloped to deliver exceptional performance in the 50 cc chainsaw class. With a powerhead weighing just 4.8 kg, a 53.3 cc engine and 3.3 kW power output, it offers an outstanding power-to-weight ratio for fast and effortless pruning, processing timber, cutting firewood and felling small to medium-sized trees.

Using the latest STIHL M-Tronic 3.0 engine management system, the MS 300 C-M automatically adjusts fuel metering and ignition timing to deliver optimum engine performance in all working conditions. Combined with the this ensures reliable and easy starting, reduced fuel consumption and strong cutting performance. Thanks to its larger engine, the MS 300 C-M delivers 15% more torque than the MS 261 C-M, helping the saw maintain cutting speed in thicker wood with less risk of bogging down mid-cut. Rapid chain acceleration, comparable with the fuel-injected MS 500i  takes the chain from 0 to 100 km/h in just 0.25 seconds. Designed with professional users in mind, the MS 300 C-M combines a compact body, low gyroscopic forces and improved rear handle geometry for exceptional handling during felling, limbing, snedding and plunge cutting. Parallel plunge-cutting direction lines on the fan housing and a vertical felling line help to guide the saw, providing greater accuracy and control. The wide knee support and STIHL Anti Vibration make the MS 300 C-M comfortable to use during long working days.

The MS 300 C-M also includes a range of practical features designed to minimise interruptions during working and make maintenance easier. These include:

• An easy-to-access adjustable oil pump allows quick adjustment of oil flow using a standard combination tool.
• A 50% fuel level marker provides a fast visual indication of when a refill is needed.
• An optimised rib pattern on the underside helps the saw glide more smoothly along tree trunks during snedding and reduces dirt build-up, making the machine easier to clean.
• A long life HD2 air filter system with pre-separation extends service intervals and reduces maintenance downtime.
• The STIHL Ematic system delivers oil exactly where it is needed, reducing oil consumption by up to 50% while maintaining optimum lubrication of the guide bar and chain.

Features:

Side-Mounted Chain Tensioning
Side-mounted chain tensioning allows for protected, easy and quick chain tensioning and replacement. The tensioning screw is inserted laterally through the sprocket cover.

Variable Displacement Oil Pump
The controlled-delivery oil pump reduces your chainsaw’s oil consumption by up to 50%. To use it, simply select the E position. For very long cutting attachments or very dry wood, an additional oil volume can be set by the user.

HD2 Filter
The HD2 filter protects your power tool’s engine against even the finest dust, ensuring a longer service life and reduced wear. The filter made from PET material has up to 70% finer pores than fleece and polyamide filters, and is also oil- and water-repellent. This also makes it easier to clean the filter. When needed, the filter cartridge can be easily replaced without tools.

STIHL Anti-Vibration System
Vibrations can occur when you put your power tools through their paces, and these are particularly noticeable in the grip area. The buffer and spring elements of the STIHL anti-vibration system reduce the transmission of vibrations to the handle area and therefore to your body. The result is that your power tool is more comfortable to hold and your work is much less tiring.

STIHL 2 Mix Engine
With the STIHL 2-MIX engine, you can reduce exhaust emissions and fuel consumption, and therefore operating costs. This 2-stroke engine is low-maintenance and uses fuel efficiently even at high power levels. Use a mixture of petrol and engine oil as fuel. The STIHL 2-MIX engine complies with the strict EU Stage V emissions directive.

Tool-Free Oil Tank
Thanks to the bayonet closure, you can open and close the tool-free fuel cap in just a few simple steps.

Compensator
The compensator is a control system in the carburettor, which uses pressure compensation to ensure that engine performance, exhaust gas quality and fuel consumption remain virtually constant over a long period of time, despite increasing contamination of the air filter. You do not need to clean the air filter until there is a noticeable drop in performance. This means that you can work for a long time without maintenance.
