The NEWSTIHL MS 162 petrol chainsaw is a reliable petrol chainsaw for homeowners. Whether you are processing firewood, pruning or felling small trees, the MS 162 is an ideal entry-level choice that packs enough power to get the job done.

Powered by a STIHL 2-MIX engine, the MS 162 has great cutting performance and low fuel consumption. It’s fitted with a 14” guide bar and 3/8" P saw chain which has high cutting performance thanks to the narrow kerf. The STIHL anti-vibration system reduces transmission of vibrations to the handle, which relieves strain on your muscles and joints. The MS 162 has single-lever operation and is effortless to restart after interruptions thanks to the combi-lever. It’s also fitted with a transparent fuel and oil tank, so you can clearly see when the chainsaw needs a fuel or oil top up. Re-tensioning the chain is safe and easy to do too, thanks to the practical side-mounted chain tensioning.

Features:

Compensator
This controller in the carberettor prevents the fuel-air mixture getting richer as the air filter becomes clogged.  The correct quantity of fuel is delivered to the carburettor depending on the quantity of air passing through the air filter.  This keeps the fuel/air ratio in the combustion mixture constant and hence also the engine power.  The filter doesn't need to be cleaned until an appropriate drop in power occurs.

STIHL 2-Mix Engine
The two-stroke engine with STIHL 2-MIX technology saves up to 20% of fuel and reduces emissions by up to 70% compared to STIHL 2-Stroke engines of the same performance class without 2-MIX technology.

STIHL Anti-Vibration System
Precisely calculated buffer zones minimise the transfer of the engine and saw chain vibrations to the front and rear handles. The chainsaw therefore runs noticeably smoother.  This allows the users to save their strength and work longer.

Single-Lever Master Control
All important functions such as start, choke, throttle and stop are operated via a single lever.

Combi Lever with Stop Function
Only one start position is required on the combi lever. Thanks to the stop function, once the machine is turned off, the control lever immediately moves back into the operating position. This allows a warm machine to be restarted immediately.

Side Chain Tensioner
The tensioning screw can be found on the side of the chainsaw through the srpokcet cover. This removes the need for contact with a sharp chainsaw chain.

Anti Vibration System
Intense vibrations at the handles can lead to long term effects on blood vessels in the arms and hands. STIHL's effective anti vibration system reduces vibrations transmitted to the user's hands, resulting in increased comfort and smoother operation.

Advanced Combustion Technology
Four overflow channels swirl the fuel air mix before ignition allowing for optmum combustion and highly efficient performance.

BAND 1 Purchases of items between 0 – 29kg will incur a delivery charge €5.00 within Mainland Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

BAND 2 Purchases of items between 30 – 49kg will incur a delivery charge of €54.95 within Mainland Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Certain products such as walk behind lawnmowers & ladders are too heavy/large to dispatch with the standard courier service and will require using a freight company. Due to the additional costs to us we are unable to offer free delivery on these products and will incur an additional delivery charge of €54.95. You must be on site to receive and sign for these deliveries.

BAND 3 Purchase of items between 50 – 200kg. Certain products such as ride on mowers, power washers and generators are too large/heavy to dispatch with courier service and will require using a freight company. Due to the additional costs to us we are unable to offer free delivery on these products and will incur an additional delivery charge of €129.95
